“Stretching from the nation’s low point in Death Valley National Park to the high point atop the jagged peak of Mt. Whitney, and including the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, home to the oldest trees in the world, Inyo County is a land of extraordinary extremes.”

Inyo County is the second largest county by area in California, with almost one half of their 10,140 square miles within Death Valley National Park. Just over 96% of the land in Inyo county is public land.

Representatives of Inyo County, relevant land managers, and public stakeholders will be convened to review existing data and gap analysis developed by the Towns to Trails team and then collaboratively articulate Inyo County’s current and future contributions to the regional trails network.
